Put the tension latch in the structure.

Install the bolt, washer, and the nut finger tight.
(a)
Two washers are shown in Figure 401, but install or remove washers as necessary to minimize the movement of the shoulder bolt.
(b)
Allow a minimum of a .03 inch (.75 mm) clearance between the washer and fitting.

(3) Tighten the nut.
(a) Allow a minimum of a .03 inch (.75 mm) clearance between the washer and fitting.

Put a fillet seal between the washer and fitting.
(a) Use BMS 5-26 sealant .12 inch (3.0 mm) long around the shank of the bolt and between the washer and the fitting to reduce movement of the shoulder bolt.
(5)
Adjust the tension latches (AMM 78-31-11/501).
