light or a problem in the applicable BITE circuit.
(e)
When you push and hold the TEST SW with the thrust reverser retracted, none of the lights come on.
(f)
The EAU monitors the isolation valve and the directional control valve in the thrust reverser control valve module. 1) The ISO VLV OPEN light, S833 for ENG 1 and S830 for ENG 2,
is controlled by the proximity sensor on the isolation valve. The light will go ON when the sensor shows that the isolation valve is open (target near) after the reverse thrust lever is pushed down (stow) for a minimum of 14 seconds (WDM 78-31-11 and 78-31-21).

2) The CONT VLV DEPLOY light, S834 for ENG 1 and S839 for ENG 2 is controlled by the proximity sensor on the directional control valve. The light will go ON when the sensor shows that the directional control valve is in the deploy position (target near) for a minimum of 4 seconds after the reverse thrust lever is pushed down (stow) for a minimum of 14 seconds (WDM 78-31-11 and 78-31-21).
NOTE: The 4 second time delay keeps the light OFF when the
____ reverse thrust lever is pulled up (deploy) and the valve has moved before the light is inhibited by the reverse thrust lever.
(g) The SLEEVE DISAGREE will go ON and stay on when the thrust reverser lever is pulled up (deploy) and the NOT STOWED relays for the left and right reverser sleeve are not in the same position for a minimum of 4.4 seconds.
NOTE: The 4.4 second time delay keeps the light OFF for small
____ difference in the reverser sleeve translation times.
(h)
The RESTOW light goes ON when ever the STOW relay is energized.
(i)
The RESET SWITCH on the face of the unit provides the following functions: 1) Manual reset of all BITE lights, except the SLEEVE DISAGREE
and RESTOW lights, when the thrust reverser is retracted. 2) Manual reset of the SLEEVE DISAGREE light, if the RESET SW is depressed when the thrust reverser is extended. 3) Manual reset of the Auto-restow control circuit by restarting the 10 and 10.3 second timers.
(j)
The 16-light EAU has an AUTO-RESET feature. The AUTO RESET automatically turns all of the lights, except the SLEEVE DISAGREE and the RESTOW lights OFF. The AUTO RESET feature engages when the oil pressure signal for the two engines is high after the oil pressure signal for one of the two engines is low.
NOTE: The AUTO RESET feature makes sure that all of the
____ lights that are set during a flight, except the SLEEVE DISAGREE and the RESTOW are OFF at the beginning of a new flight.

4. Proximity Switches
__________________
A. The indicator lights are controlled by proximity switches. There are four switches for each engine - one for each translating sleeve and one each for the directional control valve and isolation valve in the thrust reverser directional control valve module (Fig. 2).
(1)
Each switch consists of a solid state switch card and a proximity sensor. All of the switch cards are installed in the Engine Accessory Unit (EAU) in the electronic equipment bay.
