MAINTENANCE MANUAL

 (d)  Make sure the clearance between the end of the door up switch plunger and the actuator arm is correct (Use a feeler gage or shim stock to find the clearance.).
NOTE: Access to the door up switch is limited with the door
____ up. The use of a small quantity of modeling clay and talcum powder put on the actuator arm will help find the clearance.
 (e)
Adjust the switch in the bracket as it is necessary to get the correct clearance.

 (f)
Adjust the door up switch at the other end of the door.

 S 825-026
 (3)  Adjust the door closed switch as follows (Fig. 513):
CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
 (a)
Open the door to get access to the switch.

 (b)
Make sure the switch plunger does not touch the striking surface.

 (c)
Make sure the distance from the face of the switch bracket to the end of the switch plunger is as shown in View A-A.

NOTE: The plunger must be clear of the surface that operates
____
 the switch.

 (d)  Adjust the switch in the bracket as it is necessary to get the correct clearance.
 S 825-027
 (4)  Adjust the master latch lock switch as follows (Fig. 514):

 (b)
Manually turn the latch actuators to the latches locked position.

NOTE: The lock sectors will extend to clear the switch
____
 plunger.

 (c) Put the master latch lock handle in its fully closed position.

 (d)
Make sure the switch plunger end does not touch the actuator bracket.

 (e)
Make sure the distance from the face of the switch bracket to the end of the switch plunger is as shown in View A-A for the latches locked position.

NOTE: The switch plunger must be clear of the actuator
____
 bracket.

 (f)
Adjust the switch in the bracket as it is necessary to get the correct starting free height position.

 (g)
Open the master latch lock handle and turn the latch actuator to the latches unlocked position.

 (h)
Measure the distance from the face of the switch mounting bracket to the face of the switch actuator bracket. The correct measured height is shown in View A-A for the latches unlocked position.

NOTE: If the dimension is not correct a calcualation to
____ determine the correct free height is required.
 (i)  If the correct measured height is not achieved in the previous step, calculate how much and in which direction to adjust the free height as follows: 1) If the measured height is less than 0.752 inch, subtract
the measured height from the 0.752 inch dimension, put the door in the latches locked position and reduce the starting switch free height (View A-A) by that amount.
 2) If the measured height is larger than 0.752 inch, subtract
0.752 inch from the measured height, put the door in the latches locked position and increase the starting switch free height (View A-A) by that amount.
 (j)
Open the master latch lock handle and turn the latch actuator to the latches unlocked position.

 (5)
Adjust the hook open switches as follows (Fig. 515):

 S 825-045
NOTE: These steps are for the forward and the aft hook open
____ switches. This is the initial adjustment of the hook open switches. The final adjustment is done in a subsequent step.
