NOSE CARGO DOOR DRIVE UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the drive unit on the nose cargo door
(2)
The installation of the drive unit on the nose cargo door

Prepare For Removal

Make sure the nose cargo door is closed.

Remove lining panels from the nose cargo door to get access to the drive unit.

Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
On the Auxilary External 2 Power Center-Right panel P715: 1) 715XX, NOSE CARGO DOOR
(b)
On the Power Distribution Center-Right panel P415: 1) 415F16, NOSE CARGO DOOR CONTROL
(c)
On the Nose Cargo Door Power panel H122: 1) 122XX, DOOR LIFT 2) 122XX, PULL UP CAM 3) 122XX, LATCHES 1-4R 4) 122XX, LATCHES 1-4L 5) 122XX, LATCHES 5-8R 6) 122XX, LATCHES 5-8L

Drive Unit Removal
(1)
Disconnect the electrical plugs on the drive unit (Detail A).

Remove bolts, washers and nuts from two couplings to disconnect the two flexible drive shafts from the drive unit.
