Fully close the door electrically.
NOTE: You must close the door electrically since the latch
____ position at electrical shutoff shows if the switch is adjusted correctly.
Do a check of the latches closed switch adjustment.
CAUTION: USE TORQUE WRENCH WITH A DIAL INDICATOR (FIG. 510) TO
_______ FIND WHEN THE ACTUATOR INTERNAL STOPS ARE TOUCHED. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES OF TORQUE. IF YOU USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES, YOU CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR.
1) Use a torque wrench with a dial indicator to apply 25 |5 pound-inches torque to the manual drive of the latch actuator.
2) Turn the latch actuator in the clockwise direction. 3) Carefully count the turns remaining until the external stops are touched (closed position, Fig. 510).
4) Make sure that the external stops are touched in 3 |1 turns. a) If the number of free turns remaining on the latch
actuator is not correct, adjust the latches closed switch (Ref Adjustment section).
b) If you cannot get the correct number of free turns by adjustment of the latches closed switch, replace the latch actuator (Ref 52-32-09/401).
Open these circuit breakers for the side cargo door and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: 1) P415 Power Distribution Center - Right
a) 415F17 SIDE CARGO DOOR CONT 2) P715 Aux/Ext No. 2 Power Center
a) SIDE CARGO DOOR PWRMake sure that the POWER ON lights on the control panels go off.

(y) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers for the side cargo door: 1) P415 Power Distribution Center - Right a) 415F17 SIDE CARGO DOOR CONT 2) P715 Aux/Ext No. 2 Power Center a) SIDE CARGO DOOR PWR
(5) S 865-039Close the retainer over the internal master latch lock handle.
(6) S 415-037Install the covers at the manual drive ports of the latch and hook actuators.
(7) S 415-036Install the plug at the lift power unit on the manual drive gearbox.

SIDE CARGO DOOR - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains four tasks:
(1)
A check of the adjustment of the side cargo door
(2)
A check of the lift mechanism for the side cargo door.
(3)
A check of the electrical components and circuitry of the side cargo door.
(4)
An Inspection/Check procedure for the Master Latch Lock Mechanism.

2. Do a Check of the Adjustment of the Side Cargo Door (Fig. 601)___________________________________________________
A. General
(1)
This task finds incorrect adjustment of the side cargo door. This task is not a full system test. Refer to 52-32-00/501 for the full system test.

ME65B83635-1 Torque Wrench Adapter, Side Cargo Door Brakes
C.
Standard Tools and Equipment
(1)
Spring Scale - Push-type, 150-pound capacity
(2)
Torque wrench - Capable of 80 pound-inches (for a check of the adjustment of the gearbox and brake assembly)
(3)
Torque wrench (with dial indicator) - 0-25 pound-inch range (for a check of the adjustment of the hook and latch actuators)
