CAUTION: USE TORQUE WRENCH WITH A DIAL INDICATOR (FIG. 502) TO
_______ FIND WHEN THE ACTUATOR INTERNAL STOPS ARE TOUCHED. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES OF TORQUE. IF YOU USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES, YOU CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR.
1) Put a torque wrench into the latch actuator manual drive socket. 2) Manually turn the latch actuator clockwise approximately 112 turns to the latches closed position. 3) Make sure that the torque necessary to operate the latch actuator is 25 pound-inches maximum.
CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
(v)
Open the door electrically approximately 10 inches.
(w)
Close and latch the door electrically.
(x)
Measure the clearance between each latch cam and latch fitting (View A, Fig. 505).
(y)
Make sure you get the correct clearances.
(z)
Close the internal or external master latch lock handle. (aa) Push the aft pressure relief door to its fully open position. (ab) Make sure the SIDE CARGO DOOR message does not show on EICAS.
CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFOR THIRD ATTEMPT.
(ac) Open the door electrically approximately 10 inches.
NOTE: You must open the door electrically since the hook
____ position at electrical shutoff shows if the switch is adjusted correctly.
(ad) Do a check of the adjustment of the hook open switches as follows:

_______ FIND WHEN THE ACTUATOR INTERNAL STOPS ARE TOUCHED. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES OF TORQUE. IF YOU USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES, YOU CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR.
1) Use a torque wrench with a dial indicator to apply 25 |5 pound-inches torque to the manual drive of one hook actuator.
2) Turn the hook actuator in the counterclockwise direction. 3) Carefully count the turns remaining until the internal stops are touched (open position, Fig. 510). 4) Make sure that the internal stops are touched in 3 |1 turns. 5) Do the steps above at the other hook actuator.
a) If the number of free turns remaining on a hook actuator is not correct, adjust the applicable hook open switch (Ref Adjustment section).
b) If you can not get the correct number of free turns by adjustment of the hook open switch, replace the hook actuator (Ref 52-32-11/401).
(ae) Close and latch the door electrically.
NOTE: You must close the door electrically since the hook
____ position at electrical shutoff shows if the switch is adjusted correctly.
(af) Do a check of the adjustment of the hook close switches as follows:

2) Turn the hook actuator in the clockwise direction. 3) Carefully count the turns remaining until the internal
stops are touched (closed position, Fig. 510). 4) Make sure the internal stops are touched in 5 |1 turns. 5) Do the steps above at the other hook actuator.
a) If the number of free turns remaining on a hook actuator is not correct, adjust the applicable hook close switch (Ref Adjustment section).
b) If you can not get the correct number of free turns by adjustment of the hook close switch, replace the hook actuator (Ref 52-32-11/401).
