TURNS OF MANUAL DRIVE TORQUE WRENCH
NOTE: THE TURNS ARE THE NUMBER OF TURNS OF A TORQUE WRENCH IN THE MANUAL DRIVE. COUNT THE TURNS AFTER YOU FIND THE INTERNAL STOPS.
USE A TORQUE WRENCH TO FIND THE
INTERNAL STOPS OF THE ACTUATOR AS FOLLOWS:
1.
MEASURE THE TORQUE (M) WHILE YOU MANUALLY TURN THE ACTUATOR.
(THE TORQUE SHOULD BE CONSTANT WITHIN |2 POUND-INCHES).
2.
TURN THE ACTUATOR UNTIL THE TORQUE INCREASES BY 15-20 POUND-INCHES (M + 15).
3.
TURN THE ACTUATOR 1/2-TURN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION FROM THE (M + 15) POINT.
4.
THE INTERNAL STOPS ARE AT THIS POINT.
INITIAL SWITCH ADJUSTMENT ONLY. SEE THE TEXT FOR THE FINAL ADJUSTMENT.
