All components of the nose cargo door can be actuated manually. Each of the 16 latch actuators must be actuated separately followed by the cam actuator. When the cam actuator has been fully extended, the door can be raised using an alternate drive extension power by two air or electric motors. A dual outlet rectifier, 2MIT65B80430, is available to convert airplane power for using electric motors if external power is not available. If electrical or pneumatic power is not available, each alternate drive extension can be operated with 3/8-inch drive speed handles.

2. Nose Cargo Door Normal Operation

A. General
WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR IF ONE OR THE OTHER ACTUATOR SHEAR PINS
_______ ARE BROKEN. YOU MUST REPLACE THEM BEFORE YOU OPEN THE DOOR. IF YOU DO NOT REPLACE THEM, INJURY OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

To open/close the door, simultaneously hold the SYSTEM POWER switch in the POWER ON position and the DOOR CONTROL switch in the OPEN/CLOSED position. In this procedure, these switches are refered to as the control switches.
