 10) A difference of 0.125-inch nominal clay thickness shows the quantity and direction of the adjustment of the latch fitting.
 11) Put each latch fitting in its correct position as shown in the above steps.
NOTE: Keep the clearance that was set above for the
____ two latch fittings on which the guide roller ramps are installed.
 12) Do the above steps again until you get a 0.02 inch maximum flushness between the door and body latch fitting centerlines.
NOTE: Since the vertical adjustment of the latch fitting
____ is serrated at a 0.036-inch pitch, the nearest agreement is 0.018 inch. It is recommended that the latch pins be set 0.018 inch high than 0.018 inch low.
 13) Make sure the serrations are correctly engaged.
 14) Refer to View A-A to tighten the fasteners for the latch fitting adjustment.
CAUTION: WHEN YOU INSTALL THE LATCH PIN, THE FORWARD GUIDE
_______ ROLLER LATCH FITTING MUST HAVE A 69B15457-2, -4, OR -6 PIN (3.44-INCH LENGTH) WHILE ALL THE OTHER FITTINGS USE A 69B15457-1, -3, OR -5 PIN (3.18-INCH LENGTH). IF YOU USE THE INCORRECT PIN, THE LATCH MECHANISM CAN BIND AND CAUSE DAMAGE.
 15) Remove the dummy latch pins and install each airplane latch pin that was removed. a) Clean the parts with solvent. b) Use a plastic tool, if it is necessary, to remove all the old sealant. c) Apply sealant to the outer diameter of the pin and to the inner diameter of the fitting.
CAUTION:_______DO NOT INSTALL THE LATCH PINS IN BACKWARDS. THIS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FITTINGS, LATCH CAMS, AND THE ADJACENT STRUCTURE. MAKE SURE THAT THE PINS PROTRUDE OUT THE LATCH PIN FITTINGS MORE THAN 0.75 INCH ON THE SIDE OF THE FITTING WHERE THE PINS ENGAGE THE LATCH CAM.
 d) Install the pin while the sealant is wet. e) Install the pin stop bracket at the latch pin locations 1-3 and 6-10 (Fig. 505).
 f) Apply sealant to the bolt shank and threads.

 g) Install the bolt, washer and nut while the sealant is wet. h) Apply sealant at all surfaces that touch the pin, fitting, bolt, washer, and nut. i) Apply sealant fully on the bolt head, nut, washer, and threads. j) Use solvent to remove unwanted sealant from the bearing
face of the pin. 16) Close the door. 17) Manually turn the latch actuator in the unlatch direction,
then turn it an equal number of turns in the latch direction. 18) Make sure the torque is not more than 25 pound-inches.

 (8)  Adjust the hook restraint arm as follows (Fig. 502):
NOTE: You can use this procedure for the two restraint arms.
____
 (a)  Set the hook actuator in the rigged closed position as follows (Fig. 502):
CAUTION: USE A TORQUE WRENCH WITH A DIAL INDICATOR (FIG. 502)
_______ TO FIND WHEN THE ACTUATOR INTERNAL STOPS ARE TOUCHED. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES OF TORQUE. IF YOU USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES, YOU CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR.
 1) Use a torque wrench with a dial indicator to manually turn the actuator clockwise to the closed position. 2) Examine the torque. When the torque increases by 15-20 pound-inches, you have touched the internal stops. 3) Turn the hook actuator in the counterclockwise direction one-half turn.
NOTE: This is when the internal stops are against each
____
 other.

 4) Turn the torque wrench 5 turns counterclockwise.
NOTE: This is the rigged closed position.
____
 (b)
Make sure the clearance between the restraint arm and the torque tube is as shown in View B-B.

 (c)
Adjust the adjustment bolt as it is necessary to get the correct clearance. 1) Hold the solenoid tightly in the installed position,
