Move the insulation that is necessary for access (25-21-04/401).

Do these steps for the forward or the aft gearbox:
(a)
Remove the screws that are through the coupling at the torque tube on the rotary actuator (Detail B).
NOTE: This is the torque tube that goes from the
____
rotary actuator to the gearbox.
(b)
Slide the coupling over the torque tube (Detail B).
(c)
Pull the torque tube out of the gearbox.

Remove the aft gearbox as follows:
(a)
Remove the two bolts that are through the coupling at the gearbox (Detail D).
NOTE: This is on the torque tube that goes from the gearbox

to the power unit.
(b)
Push the coupling over the torque tube (Detail D).
(c)
Pull the torque tube off the power unit.
(d)
Remove the bolts that attach the gearbox to the bracket.
NOTE: Catch the washers as you remove the bolts.
____
(e) Pull the gearbox away from the bracket until it is clear of the remaining torque tube.
NOTE: This is the torque tube that goes to the forward
____
gearbox.
(f) Pull the torque tube out of the forward gearbox.

Remove the forward gearbox as follows:
(a)
Remove the bolts which attach the gearbox to the bracket and the power unit (detail A).
NOTE: Catch the washers as you remove the bolts.
