Make sure the airplane is on its wheels.

Make sure the nose cargo door is closed.

Install the safety barrier across the door opening.

Make sure all the latches and the push-pull cam are in the open positions.

Disconnect the two flexible drive shafts from the linear actuators.

Connect the alternate drive extension to the manual drive
 receptacles on the linear actuators, if it is necessary.

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:

On the Auxilary External 2 Power Center-Right panel P715: 1) NOSE CARGO DOOR

 (b)  
On the Power Distribution Center-Right panel P415: 1) 415F16, NOSE CARGO DOOR CONTROL

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
On the Nose Cargo Door Power panel H122:
 1) DOOR LIFT
 2) PULL UP CAM
 3) LATCHES 1-4R

 G. Push-Pull Cam Mechanism Adjustment (Fig. 502)
 S 225-024
 (1)  Make sure the door is closed and the distance between the door frame and body frame is 5.02 | .05 inches (127.50 | 1.27 mm).
 NOTE: Make sure to keep this distance constant during the
____ adjustments of the the nose cargo door mechanisms.

 (2)  Manually crank the push-pull cam actuator until you can install the rig pin ND-4 through the cam and cam support fitting.
 NOTE: The cam now is in the rig (or dwell) position.

Make sure the rollers in the correct position and touch the cam.

Adjust the roller support fitting on its serrated plates and laminated shims, if it is necessary, to get the rollers in the correct position.


 NOTE: Let the rollers roll down against the cam until the serrated
____ plate on the fitting mates with the serrated plate on the structure. If the serrations on the serrated plates do not mate, move the fitting aft one serration maximum. Make sure to keep the distance between the door frame and structure frame in the limit.

Make sure the two clearances between the rollers and the cam web do not differ more than 0.025 inch (0.63 mm) as shown in Views A-A and B-B.

Adjust the roller support fitting inboard/outboard, if it is necessary, to get the equal clearances between the rollers and cam web.

 (7)  
Remove the rig pin from the push-pull cam.

 1) PULL UP CAM

Electrically drive the push-pull cam to the closed position.
