(6) Make sure you can turn the cam rollers (Detail B) freely with your hand.
NOTE: The cam rollers turn freely if it does not contact
____
the cam.
S 826-008
(7)
Do these steps if you cannot turn the cam rollers freely:
(a)
If the roller end contacts the center web, adjust the roller support fitting laterally (AMM 52-31-09/401).
(b)
If the roller contacts the bottom or forward face of the cam, do these steps to determine whether the actuator is serviceable or the roller support fitting is not in the correct position: 1) Measure the retracted length of the actuator with nose
cargo door closed (Detail B).
2) Electrically open the nose cargo door approximately 12
inches at the bottom.
3) Measure the extended length of the actuator.
4) Subtract the retracted length from extended length to
determine the length of the actuator stoke. 5) If actuator stroke is more than 4.60 inches, the actuator brake is unserviceable and you must replace the actuator. 6) If actuator stroke is 4.60 inches or less, adjust the roller support fitting and/or actuator rod.
S 866-009
(8)
Fully close, latch and lock the nose cargo door.
(9)
Make sure the EICAS message DOOR NOSE CARGO does not show.
S 816-011
(10)
If the EICAS message DOOR NOSE CARGO shows, do trouble-shooting for the nose cargo door (FIM 52-EICAS MESSAGES).
