(5) S 034-017Remove the screw that holds the rain seal to the airframe structure.
(6) S 024-018Apply a stable pull on the rain seal to remove the seal from the airframe structure.
(7) S 214-019Make sure you do not damage the seal and the retainer.
NOTE:____ You do not have to remove the seal from the airframe structure if it is disconnected only for cargo door removal.

Install the rain seal (Fig. 401)

_______ SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM SOLVENTS. SOLVENTS ARE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. SOLVENTS MAY BE FLAMMABLE OR HARMFUL TO THE ENVIRONMENT. REFER TO PRODUCT MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS (MSDS) AND LOCAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPER HANDLING PROCEDURES.
(1) Remove the remaining sealant from the door surface and the airframe structure with IPA, or Ethyl Alcohol.

(2) S 114-008Clean the mating surfaces with IPA, or Ethyl Alcohol and let the surfaces to dry.
(3) S 394-009Bond seal to seal support angle along the whole length of the door (View B).
(4) S 434-010Install the seal retainer on the door.
(5) S 394-011Bond the seal to the fuselage structure along the whole length of the door.
(6) S 434-012Install the seal retainer on the fuselage structure.
(7) S 394-013Use a spatula or flow gun to apply sealant to the whole length of the mating surface of the rain seal to get a uniform thickness of approximately 1/32 inch.

SIDE CARGO DOOR HOOK PIN - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1)
The first task is the removal of the cargo door hook pin.
(2)
The second task is the installation of the cargo door hook pin.

2. Remove the Cargo Door Hook Pin (Fig. 401)______________________________

Procedure

(1)
Electrically open the cargo door to get access to the hook pin (AMM 52-32-00/001).

(2)
Do not let the pin turn to remove the nut and washers from the pin.
NOTE:____Record the number of washers which are removed. This will make it easier when you install the new hook pin.

(3)
Use a mallet to tap the pin out of the bearings.

(4)
Remove the other washer and the spacer from the pin.
