A 747-400 MAINTENANCE MANUAL
(4) S 485-182Open the access door to get access to the pressure switch (S110) and isolation relay (R1104). (Fig. 507)
(5) S 225-203Slowly pull 0.88 inch of mercury (12 inches of water, 0.43 psi) vacuum to the alternate static system (AMM 34-11-00/201).
NOTE:____ An alternative method is to apply 0.88 inch of mercury pressure to the cabin pressure probe on the nose door latch pressure switch S110.
(6) S 785-184Look to see this indication: (a) On the door control and lights panel, 1) Green LATCH CLOSED light goes off.
(7) S 765-184Disconnect the electrical connector D6141 on the latch actuator test module and do these checks: (a) Make sure there is continuity between pins 4 and 5 and ground. (b) Hold the control switches in the open position and make sure there is no voltage on pins 4 and 5. (c) Release the switches.
(8) S 765-185Disconnect the electrical connector on one of the 16 latch actuators and do these checks: (a) Make sure there is continuity between pin 17 and ground. (b) Put the SYSTEM POWER switch to the ON position. (c) Put the DOOR CONTROL switch to the CLOSE position. (d) Make sure that no voltage exists between pin 17 on the connector and ground.

(e) Release the switches.
S 765-186
(9)
Slowly release the pressure while you monitor the voltage on pin 5 of the electrical connector D6141.
(a)
Make sure the voltmeter reads 28 volts DC when the pressure is dropped to 6-8 inches of water.
S 865-217
(10)
Hold these switches in the positions that follow at the same time:
(a)
The DOOR CONTROL switch to the OPEN position.
(b)
The SYSTEM POWER switch in the ON position.
S 865-220
(11)
Make sure the voltage reads 28 volts DC on pin 4 of the electrical connector D6141.
S 865-218
(12)
Hold these switches in the positions that follow at the same time:
(a)
The SYSTEM POWER switch in the ON position.
(b)
The DOOR CONTROL switch to the CLOSE position.
S 865-219
(13)
Make sure the voltage reads 28 volts DC on pin 17 of the latch actuator connector.
S 865-188
(14)
Release the control switches.
S 035-190
(15)
Remove the isolation relay R1104.
S 735-223
CAUTION:_______THE POWER SUPPLY CURRENT MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 50 mA. HIGH CURRENT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO DIODES AND RELAYS.
(16)
Apply power supply voltage to the contact A2 of the relay socket DR1104.
S 865-205
(17)
Make sure that the other connection of the power supply is electrical ground.
S 765-193
(18)
Slowly increase the voltage (on contact A2) to 65 volts DC and do these checks:

(19) Do the checks that follow:
(a) Make sure current flows through contact A2 between 45 to 57
volts.
(b) Make sure the voltage incrementally increases with the power
supply voltage and then remains constant after current flows
through the contact A2.
NOTE:____ The current flow occurs when the voltmeter reads 45 to
57 volts DC. The voltage will stay in this range when
the power supply voltage is increased more than 57
volts.
(c) Reverse the polarity of the power supply and the voltmeter.
