If you install the used components, do a check for wear limits (Ref 52-31-02/601).

Make sure the push-pull cam and actuator are in the correct positions before you adjust the linear actuators.

Make sure the aft end fittings on the two linear actuators are not connected to the support fittings.

Close these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-OPEN tags:

On the Power Distribution Center-Right panel P415: 1) 415F16, NOSE CARGO DOOR CONTROL
(c)
On the Nose Cargo Door Power panel H122:
1) 122XX, DOOR LIFT
2) 122XX, PULL UP CAM
3) 122XX, LATCHES 1-4R
4) 122XX, LATCHES 1-4L
5) 122XX, LATCHES 5-8R
6) 122XX, LATCHES 5-8L

Operate the nose cargo door until the push-pull cam is in the fully open position as shown in Detail A, Fig. 401.

With the aft ends on the two linear actuators disconnected, hold door switch in CLOSE position until the door drive unit stops running.

Linear Actuator Installation

(1)
Install the linear actuator on the lower gimbal fitting with the drive shaft coupling inboard (Fig. 401).
(a)
Install the upper gimbal fitting on actuator with bolts, washers and nuts (Detail D).
(b)
Install the bolthead inboard and countersunk washer under bolthead.
(c)
Tighten bolts 450 inch-pounds.

Manually adjust the actuator length through the manual drive port until you can install ND-2 rig pin freely through the rig pin hole on actuator (Detail A, Fig. 402).

Install the aft end fittings of the two linear actuators to the support fittings (Detail C).
(a)
Install the forward pin and cross bolt with washer and nut.
(b)
Tighten nut.
