 NOTE:  Make sure that the pins are installed with the pins in each pair facing towards each other (Fig 408 Sheet 3).
 1)  Clean the parts with solvent, Series 92 (AMM 20-30-92).
 NOTE:  Use a plastic tool, if it is necessary, to remove
____ all the used sealant.
 2)  Apply the sealant to the outer diameter of the pin and the inner diameter of the fitting.
 3)  Install the pin while the sealant is wet.
 4)  Install the pin stop bracket at the latch pin locations 1-3 and 6-10.
 5)  Apply sealant to the bolt shank and threads.
 6)  Install the bolt and washer and install the nut while the
 sealant is wet.

 7)  Apply sealant at all the surfaces of the pin, fitting, bolt, washer and nut.
 NOTE: Make sure you fully cover the bolt head, nut,
____ washer, and threads with the sealant.
 8)  Remove the unwanted sealant from the bearing face of the pin with solvent, Series 92 (AMM 20-30-92).
 (o)  
Close the cargo door.

 (p)  
Manually turn the latch actuator in the open direction, then turn the actuator the same number of turns in the close direction.

 (q)  
Make sure the torque is not more than 25 pound-insches.

 (6)  Cut the unwanted skin from the forward, aft and lower edges of the door until you get a clearance of 0.16 to 0.24 inch between door and body skin. See Table I
 NOTE: Do not remove too much skin.

Do a check of the gearbox and brake assembly braking torque
 (Ref 52-32-04/401).

Adjust the stop pins (Fig. 408):

 (a)  
Remove the lockspring from the stop pin.

 (b)  
Close the door and turn the stop pin outboard to contact door stop pad.

 (c)  
Turn the stop pin back to the first locking slot and install the lockspring.

 (1)  
Adjust the door down switches (Fig. 404):

 (a)  
Manually turn the lift power unit until you get the clearance between rotary actuator arm and door downstop as shown (Fig. 404).

 (b)  Make sure the clearance between the end of the door down switch plunger and actuator arm is as shown.
 NOTE: Use a feeler gage or shim stock to find the clearance.
____ Adjust the switch in the bracket until you get the correct clearance.
 (c)  Adjust the door down switch at the other end of the door in same way.

 (2)  Adjust the door up switches (Fig. 404):
 CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
 (a)  
Open the door and manually turn the lift power unit until you get the clearance between the rotary actuator arm and the door upstop shown (Fig. 404) for the switch adjustment.

 (b)  
Make sure the clearance between the end of the door up switch plunger and the actuator arm is as shown. Adjust the switch in bracket until you get the correct clearance.


 NOTE: It is dificult to get access to the up switch with the
____ door up. The use of a small quantity of modeling clay on the actuator arm and sprinkled with talcum powder will aid you.
 (c)  Adjust the door up switch at the other end of the door in same way.

 (3)  Adjust the door closed switch (Fig. 409):
