Put a layer of sealant between the shim and the hinge section.

Align fastener holes in the hinge section with the fastener holes in the door and fuselage.
(g)
Install the bolts.
(h)
Tighten the bolts to the subsequent torques (Fig. 401): 1) Bolt (1) - 290 to 410 pound-inches 2) Bolt (2) - 660 to 780 pound-inches 3) Bolt (3) - 75 to 95 pound-inches 4) Bolt (4) - 35 to 45 pound-inches 5) Bolt (5) - 5/16-24 Bolts 60 to 85 pound-inches

3/8-24 Bolts 95 to 110 pound-inches 6) Bolt (6) - 5/16-24 Bolts 75 to 95 pound-inches

(i)
Inject the sealant between the hinge sections until the clearances between the hinge sections are full.
(j)
Apply a fillet seal of sealant to the top and bottom edges of the hinge section. Make sure the fillet seal touches the injected seal.
(k)
Remove the door sling from the side cargo door.
(3)
Install the doorway ceiling panel (Ref 25-52-01/401).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE AWAY FROM THE DOOR AND
_______ THE DOOR OPENING WHEN YOU OPERATE THE DOOR. FAILURE OF THE LIFT MECHANISM COULD CAUSE THE DOOR TO CLOSE QUICKLY WHICH COULD CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE.
CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.

Open the cargo door sufficiently to get access for the rig pin installation.

Open these circuit breakers for the side cargo door and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)

(b)
P715 Aux/Ext No. 2 Power Center
1) SIDE CARGO DOOR PWR
(3)
Disconnect electrical connector DX213 from the latch actuator.
