 7)  Adjust the switch to make sure there is continuity between
 pins 7 and 8 (aft midspan latch switch) or pins 5 and 6
 (forward midspan latch switch) of connector DX225C as the
 latch actuator (1) is turned 8 |1/4 turns counterclockwise.
 (The switch operates 7 |1/4 turns before the external stops
 contacted [open] position [Fig. 402].)
 NOTE: The switch must operate while the latch actuator is____
 turned to the open stops (counterclockwise).
 One-half turn of the limit switch locknut will
 change the switch operation point approximately one
 turn on the latch actuator.
 8)  Install the lockwire on the switch locknuts.
 9)  Connect electrical connector DX225C to the cargo door
 junction box.

 10) Turn the latch actuator (1) counterclockwise to the fully open position before you operate the door.

 CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.

 Operate the door electrically until the hook actuators open the door.

 Make sure that all latch cams fully disengage the latch pins before the hooks open the door.

 Close the door and make sure the latch cams engage the latch pins satisfactorily as the hooks close the door.

 (1)  
Open these circuit breakers for the side cargo door and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right 1) 415F17 SIDE CARGO DOOR CONT

 (b)  
P715 Aux/Ext No. 2 Power Center
 1) SIDE CARGO DOOR PWR

 (2)  
Disconnect electrical connector DX211 or DX212 from the hook actuator.

 (3)  
If you will remove the forward hook actuator (1), disconnect the torque tube (5) from the forward output shaft as follows (Fig. 401).

 (a)  
Disconnect the two clamps (6) to remove the torque tube coupling (11).

 (b)  
Pull the torque tube in the forward direction off the actuator output shaft.
