ROTARY ACTUATOR AND ACTUATOR ARM - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains four tasks:
(1)
The removal of the rotary actuator
(2)
The installation of the rotary actuator
(3)
The removal of the actuator arm
(4)
The installation of the actuator arm.
B.
There are two rotary actuators and an actuator arm on each top corner of the door. The actuator arm is between the two rotary actuators. Splines connect the actuator arm to the rotary actuators. A quill shaft connects the rotary actuators to each other. A torque tube connects the rotary actuators to the lift mechanism.
C.
The four rotary actuators all hold the same load. If one actuator does not operate correctly, its load will be put on the other three actuators. This may cause damage to these actuators. Thus, if you replace an actuator because it does not operate, you must replace all four actuators.
D.
Rotary actuators with different part numbers are not identical. Do not put two actuators with different part numbers together on the same door.
