(b) Make sure that the flushness between the adjustable skin and the Station 240 Bulkhead below the winshield is -0.06 to 0.03
inches (-1.52 mm to 0.76 mm).
(c) If any of the fair tolerances are not within the -0.06 inch to 0.03 inch (-1.52 mm to 0.76 mm) use the Aero-Averaging method to determine if the flushness deviation is acceptable.
(d) (e) (f) Use a non-permanant marker to make two flushness measuring points 4 | .05 inch (101.60 | 1.27 mm) from the corners of the adjustable skin.Record the flushness from one measure point to the other measure point in 14 equal distances | 1.0 inch (25.4 mm).Use the Flushness Aero-Averaging Table 501.
NOTE:____ A negative step height is the fairing above the portal structure. A positive step height is the fairing below the portal structure.
(g) (h) (i) Add the 14 values together.Divide the sum of the 14 drag values by 14.If the sum of the drag values divided by 14 is less than 1.00, the flushness deviation is permitted.
