Make sure you can turn the torque wrench from 2 to 4 turns before the actuator hits the internal stops.
NOTE: The actuator has hit the stops when the torque

Replace the latch lock sectors that are damaged.

(3) S 226-044AIRPLANES WITH ALUMINUM LATCH LOCK SECTORS; Examine the bottom of the latch lock sectors for damage.
NOTE:____ You must replace a latch lock sector with gouges more than 0.03-inch deep.
(4) S 216-045Examine the bearings and bearing housings along the length of the latch lock sector torque tube for damage.
(5) S 966-046Replace the bearings or bearing housings that are damaged.
(6) S 216-047Examine the door lower beam web at the cutouts for gouges and deformation.
NOTE:____ Refer to the Structural Repair Manual for the repair procedure.
(7) S 216-054Make sure that the latch pins are installed correctly (Figure 603).
(8) S 716-048Do these steps to make sure the master latch lock switch S1240 operates correctly: (a) Use the LATCHES CLOSED light to do a check as follows: 1) Open the master latch lock handle. 2) Make sure the green "LATCHES CLOSED" light comes on. 3) Close the master latch lock handle. 4) Make sure the green "LATCHES CLOSED" light goes off.
(9) S 716-049Do these steps to make sure the master latch lock mechanism operates correctly: (a) Push the release trigger of the master latch lock handle. (b) Make sure you observe these conditions: 1) The master latch lock handle is in the unlocked (open) position. 2) The two pressure relief doors are open. 3) The master latch lock sectors have turned outboard to clear the latch cams.
