Make sure the actuator arms do not touch the structure (Detail A).

Close the door electrically (Ref 52-32-00/001).
(d)
Make sure the actuator arms do not touch the structure (Detail A).
(e)
Make sure you can turn the rotary actuator links with your hand.
NOTE: This shows that there is no load on the links.

(2) Do a check of the internal stops on the latch actuator.
NOTE: Do the check after the actuator operates electrically.

The door is closed for this check.
(a)
Put a torque wrench in the manual drive socket of the actuator.
(b)
Make a mark on the door to show the position of the torque wrench handle.
NOTE: This position is where the actuator stops after
____
it operates electrically.
(c)
Turn the torque wrench five turns in the OPEN direction.
(d)
Turn the torque wrench five turns in the CLOSE direction.
(e)
Make a note of the torque that is necessary to move the actuator.
(f)
Turn the torque wrench slowly in the CLOSE direction.
(g)
Make sure you can turn the torque wrench from 2 to 4 turns before the actuator hits the internal stops.
NOTE: The actuator hits the stops when the torque increases
____ 15 to 20 pound-inches during one-half turn of the wrench.

(3) Do a check of the internal stops on the hook actuator.
NOTE: The door is closed for this check.

(a)
Put the torque wrench in the manual drive socket of the actuator.
(b)
Make a mark on the door to show the position of the torque wrench handle.
NOTE: This position is where the actuator stops after

it operates electrically.
(c)
Turn the torque wrench five turns in the OPEN direction.
(d)
Turn the torque wrench five turns in the CLOSE direction.
(e)
Make a note of the torque that is necessary to move the actuator.
(f)
Turn the torque wrench slowly in the CLOSE direction.
(g)
Make sure you can turn the torque wrench from 4 to 6 turns before the actuator hits the internal stops.
NOTE: The actuator has hit the stops when the torque
____ increases 15 to 20 pound-inches during one-half turn of the wrench.

(4) Do a check of the hook operation (Detail B).
CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
(a) Open the door electrically.

Look at the hooks from inside the cargo compartment while the door moves.
(c)
Make sure the hooks do not get caught on the pins as the door opens.
