Install the door restraint solenoid (Fig. 401)

(1)
Apply grease on the eyebolt threads.

Install the eyebolt in the solenoid plunger.

Adjust the restraint arm as follows:
(a)
Make sure the clearance between the restraint arm and the torque tube is as shown (View A-A).
(b)
Adjust the adjustment bolt on the restraint arm if it is necessary.

Adjust the solenoid as follows:
(a)
Hold the solenoid tightly in the installed position, do not install the attachment bolts, and temporarily connect the restraint arm to the eyebolt.
(b)
With the solenoid held tightly in the installed position, push up on the eyebolt until the solenoid plunger gets to the bottom of the solenoid (fully retracted).
(c)
Make sure the clearance between restraint arm and torque tube (section A-A) is 0.90-1.00 inch.

(d) If clearance is not correct, remove the solenoid and turn the eyebolt in or out of the solenoid to get the correct clearance.
(5) S 424-012Install the attachment bolts on the solenoid.
(6) S 434-013Connect the eyebolt to the restraint arm with the nut and washer.
(7) S 434-014Connect electrical connector DX214 or DX215 to the solenoid.
(8) S 864-015Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers for the side cargo door: (a) P415 Power Distribution Center - Right 1) 415F17 SIDE CARGO DOOR CONT (b) P715 Aux/Rxt No. 2 Power Center 1) SIDE CARGO DOOR PWR
(9) S 864-016Open the master latch lock handle.

Put the door control switch in the OPEN position.

Make sure the restraint arms retract clear of the stops on the hook torque tubes.
