Open these circuit breakers for the side cargo door:
(a)
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right 1) 415F17 SIDE CARGO DOOR CONT
(b)
P715 Aux/Ext No. 2 Power Center
1) SIDE CARGO DOOR PWR

(2)
Move the insulation that is necessary to get access to the power unit (Ref 25-21-04/401).

Remove the lift power unit.
(a)
Remove electrical connector DX209 from the power unit.
(b)
Remove the four screws that attach the manual drive gearbox to the structure (Detail B).

(c)
Pull the manual drive gearbox and quill shaft away from the structure.
(d)
Remove the bolt in the splined fitting that goes through the coupling at the aft end of the torque tube (Detail C).
(e)
Remove the bolt that goes through the coupling and the aft gearbox and brake assembly (Detail C).
(f)
Move the coupling over the splined fitting.
(g)
Remove the torque tube.
(h)
Remove the four bolts that attach the forward flange of the power unit to the structure.
NOTE: Two of these bolts go through the forward gearbox
____ and brake also. Catch the washers as you remove the bolts.
(i)
Hold the power unit and remove the screw that attaches it to the support bracket.
(j)
Keep the shim if it is installed.
