CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE AIRPLANE IS IN THE CORRECT CONFIGURATION BEFORE

YOU TEST THE SIDE CARGO DOOR.
(1)
Make sure the airplane is in this configuration:
(a)
Make sure that the airplane is on its wheels without jacks installed.
(b)
The aft body is not loaded with cargo.

Do a Test of the Side Cargo Door Actuation System
(1)
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).
(2)
Open the retainer over the internal master latch lock handle.
(3)
Do the system test as follows:

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE AWAY FROM THE
_______ DOOR AND THE DOOR OPENING WHEN YOU OPERATE THE DOOR. FAILURE OF THE LIFT MECHANISM COULD CAUSE THE DOOR TO CLOSE QUICKLY WHICH COULD CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE.
CAUTION:_______ IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT
OPERATE TH E DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR
CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE A CTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1
MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT
OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
(a)
Open the door electrically approximately 1 to 2 feet (until latch operation stops).
(b)
Close the door electrically.
NOTE: The door must be closed electrically since the position
____ of the door components at electrical shutoff show if the adjustments are satisfactory.
