NOSE CARGO DOOR LINEAR ACTUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the linear actuator on the nose cargo door
(2)
The installation of the linear actuator on the nose cargo door

2. Nose Cargo Door Linear Actuator Removal (Fig. 401)_______________________________________
A. General
(1)
Do not operate the door with one linear actuator installed.
B.
Standard Tools and Equipment
(1)
Rigging Pin - ND-2, 0.311 (+0.000/-0.002)-inch diameter, 2 inches long (2 required)

Prepare For Removal

Make sure the nose cargo door is closed and latched.

(2)
Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
On the Auxilary External 2 Power Center-Right panel P715: 1) 715XX, NOSE CARGO DOOR
(b)
On the Power Distribution Center-Right panel P415: 1) 415F16, NOSE CARGO DOOR CONTROL
(c)
On the Nose Cargo Door Power panel H122: 1) 122XX, DOOR LIFT 2) 122XX, PULL UP CAM 3) 122XX, LATCHES 1-4R 4) 122XX, LATCHES 1-4L 5) 122XX, LATCHES 5-8R 6) 122XX, LATCHES 5-8L

Remove the ceiling and siewall closure panels to get access to the linear actuator.

(4)
Unzip and stow thermal and acoustic seal which is installed all around door parting line.
(5)
Diconnect the drive shaft coupling from linear actuator (Detail E).
