 3)  Turn the manual drive 1/2 turn counterclockwise
 NOTE:____ The internal stops are at this point.
 (b)  Turn the manual drive counterclockwise 9 turns.
 (c)  Adjust the hook closed switch as follows:
 1)  Measure the continuity through the hook closed switches.
 2)  Move the hook closed switch in its bracket until it opens.
 NOTE:____ You will know the switch opens when there is no
 continuity through it.

 Manually open the door sufficiently to get access to the hooks.

 Adjust the hook open switches as follows:

 NOTE: These steps are for the forward and the aft hook open

 (a)  Turn the manual drive for the hook actuator counterclockwise until it hits the internal stops as follows (Fig. 402): 1) Use a torque wrench with a dial indicator to manually turn
 the actuator counterclockwise at 25 |5 pound-inches torque. 2) Manually turn the actuator until the torque increases by 15-20 pound-inches. 3) Turn the manual drive 1/2 turn clockwise.
 NOTE: The internal stops are at this point.

 (b)  Turn the manual drive clockwise 7 turns.

 CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.

 Operate the cargo door through one complete hook cycle to examine the if the hook pin engages correctly.

Remove the door restraint solenoid (Fig. 401)

 (1)
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right 1) 415F17 SIDE CARGO DOOR CONT

 (b)  
P715 Aux/Ext No. 2 Power Center
 1) SIDE CARGO DOOR PWR

 (2)  
Disconnect electrical connector DX214 or DX215 from the solenoid.

 (3)  
Disconnect the eyebolt from the door restraint arm.

 (4)
Remove the bolts that hold the solenoid to the door frame.

 (5)  
Remove the solenoid.
