(n)
Remove the rig pin SCD-1 and keep the rig pin SCD-2 installed.
(o)
Make sure the clearance between the stop bolt and the crank torque tube of the two pressure relief doors is as shown in View C-C.
(p)
Adjust the torque tube upper and lower pushrods as it is necessary.
(q)
Put a clamp on the crank of the pressure relief doors when you get the correct clearance between the crank and the stop bolt.
(r)
Remove the rig pin SCD-2.
(s)
Make sure you can connect the cranks on the torque tube to the disconnected ends of the two pushrods on the pressure relief doors.
(t)
Adjust the pushrods as it is necessary.
(u)
Connect the pushrods.
(v)
Remove the clamps from the two pressure relief doors and cranks.
NOTE: The pressure relief doors will open 0.50-inch
____ maximum under spring force when the clamps are removed. This is when the airplane is in the usual not pressurized condition.
(w)
Adjust the torque tube lower link and the torque tube lower pushrod (View C-C) to permit the rig pin SCD-2 to be installed.
(x)
Remove the rig pin.
(y)
Open the master latch lock handle to the fully open position.
(z)
Make sure the fully open position of the pressure relief door is as shown (View A-A). (aa) Adjust the housing stop on the manual handle (Detail A) if it
is necessary to keep the opening to a limit.

(a)
Open the cargo door for access to the hooks.
(b)
Use tape to keep the restraint arm in its position to clear the stop on the torque tube (Section A-A).
(c)
Set the hook actuator in the rigged closed position as follows (Fig. 502):
CAUTION: USE A TORQUE WRENCH WITH A DIAL INDICATOR (FIG. 502)
_______ TO FIND WHEN THE ACTUATOR INTERNAL STOPS ARE TOUCHED. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES OF TORQUE. IF YOU USE MORE THAN 70 POUND-INCHES, YOU CAN CAUSE INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR.
1) Use a torque wrench with a dial indicator to manually turn the actuator clockwise to the closed position.
2) Examine the torque. When the torque increases by 15-20 pound-inches, you have touched the internal stops.
3) Turn the hook actuator in the counterclockwise direction one-half turn.
NOTE: This is when the internal stops are against each
____ other.
4) Turn the torque wrench 5 turns counterclockwise.
NOTE: This is the rigged closed position.
