 (2)  S 424-043Install the pin into the bearings.
 (3)  S 424-044Install the washers and nut on the pin.
 (4)  S 424-045Hold the pin and torque the nut to 150-250 inch-pounds.
 (5)  S 224-040Make sure that the adjustment between the end of the hook pin and the pull-in hook is done (AMM 52-32-00/501).

 CAUTION:_______IN CASE THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN, STOP IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT OPERATE THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH. HOLDING THE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH MAY DAMAGE THE ACTUATOR. WAIT AT LEAST 1 MINUTE BEFORE SECOND ATTEMPT. IF THE DOOR STILL DOES NOT OPEN, WAIT AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE THIRD ATTEMPT.
 (6)  Open and close the door electrically and make sure that the pull-in hook properly engages with the hook pin.

 FORWARD/AFT CARGO DOOR - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  The forward and aft cargo doors, located at body stations 615 and 1865 on the lower right side of the fuselage, are electrically actuated outward-opening doors. The door openings are approximately 104 inches wide by 66 inches high. The door structural framework consists of beams, formers, intercostals, and skins fabricated from aluminum alloy sheet and extrusions. Door pressurization loads are transmitted to the fuselage by eight door latches at the bottom edge, two midspan latches, and a piano-type hinge at the upper edge. A pressure seal and rain seal are installed on the cargo doors. The pressure seal, attached around the periphery, prevents pressure losses and internal rain leakage when the doors are closed. The rain seal, which extends across the hinge line, prevents rain leakage through the hinge when the doors are open. Eight viewing, ports are installed along the lower edge of each door adjacent to the eight latch cams. The latch cam alignment stripes can be seen through viewing ports to verify that the doors are securely latched. The aft cargo door is similar in design, construction, and operation to the forward cargo door except for the location of the door restraint and door close switch. On the aft cargo door, the door restraint is located on the aft hook bellcrank and the door close switch is located adjacent to the forward lower latch. Since the forward and aft cargo doors are similar in design, construction, and operation, the majority of the following paragraphs will describe only the forward cargo door.
