(3) Find the barometric pressure (not corrected to sea level).
(a)
If the local barometric pressure (LBP) is not available, use the altimeter setting to determine the LBP (Fig. 201A). 1) Find the point where the altimeter setting goes across the
applicable field elevation to get the LBP.
(b)
The equation to find LBP using Altimeter Setting in "HG and Standard Local Barometeric Pressure (SLBP) is:
LBP = (Altimeter Setting "HG - 29.92) + SLBP
NOTE: You can do a check of the LBP by dialing the altimeter
____ to 0 feet altitude and reading LBP from the barometric pressure setting window (if altimeter is available).
