Prepare For the Removal of the Power Plant

 Prepare the Airplane for the Removal of the Power Plant

 (a)  
Disconnect the left and right opening actuators at the lower end.

 (b)  
Open the return valve on the hand pump.

 (c)  
Retract the actuator until it is clear of the fuel outlet line at the fuel flow transmitter.

 (d)  
Attach the lower end of the opening actuators to the thrust reverser.

 Apply tape around the edge of the thrust reverser so that the latches are in the closed position (Fig. 402A).

 (a)  
This will give clearance for the transportation base and cradle assembly.

Do these steps to disconnect the W1508 core wire bundle (Fig. 403):

 (a)  
Disconnect the electrical connectors at the pressure regulating and shutoff valve (PRSOV) bracket as follows:


 NOTE: To make the installation easier, keep the clamps
____ attached to the wire bundle.
 1)  ENGINES WITHOUT THE CAPTIVE FASTENER CLAMPS; Release the clamp (1), bolt (2), washer (3), and nut (4) that attach the wire bundle to the forward end of the precooler.
 2)  ENGINES WITH THE CAPTIVE FASTENER CLAMPS; Release the clamp (5) that attaches the wire bundle to the forward end of the precooler.
 3) Remove the three bolts (9 and 10) and washers (11) that attach the top bracket to the bottom bracket. 4) Disconnect the electrical connectors D1208 and D1210.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL CAPS ON THE ELECTRICAL
_______ CONNECTORS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL CAPS ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS, CONTAMINATION OF THE CONNECTORS CAN OCCUR.
 5) Install caps on the end of each electrical connector. 6) Move the wire bundle connectors away from the PRSOV. This will give clearance when you remove the engine.
