External engine fire with the cowls closed.
1) If an external engine fire is reported or there is a fire warning indication in the flight compartment, the persons in the flight compartment must do these steps: a) Immediately shutdown the engine.
1.
Move the forward thrust lever rearward to the idle
_
position.
2.
Move the engine start lever to the CUTOFF position.
_ b) Pull the applicable engine fire handle up.
NOTE: This action will arm the airplane fire
____ extinguisher circuit, close the engine fuel shut-off valve, remove electrical power to the thrust reverser control module, illuminate the hydraulic warning lights, close the bleed air valve, close the engine hydraulic shut-off valve, and open the engine generator field relay and generator circuit breaker.
c) Put the applicable FUEL PUMP switches to the OFF position.
d) If the fire warning indication continues, turn the applicable engine fire handle clockwise to discharge one fire bottle.
e) Monitor the fire warning indications.
f) If the fire warning indication continues, turn the engine fire handle counterclockwise to discharge the second and last fire bottle.
2) If the airplane fire extinguisher systems do not extinguish the fire, the ground persons can use the ground fire extinguisher equipment to extinguish the fire.

The engine will operate satisfactory with all or a mixture of the
fuels on the list.
