Attach a dynamometer to the inboard or outboard attach point on one arm, as it is necessary, as follows:
NOTE: On the aft bootstrap location, only one lever hoist
____ and one dynamometer are necessary. You must install the lever hoist and dynamometer on opposite arms.
1) Use the outboard hole for the outboard location. Use the inboard hole for the inboard location.
(e) Attach a lever hoist to the inboard or outboard attach point on the opposite arm. 1) Make sure you can see the dynamometer when you operate the
lever hoist.

Power Plant Removal - Bootstrap Method

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE TRANSPORTATION BASE AND CRADLE
_______ ASSEMBLY BELOW THE POWER PLANT. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR IF THE TRANSPORTATION BASE AND CRADLE ASSEMBLY HIT THE ENGINE.
(5) Put the transportation base and cradle below the power plant.
NOTE: It can be necessary to raise the airplane to get
____ sufficient clearance between the transportation base and the thrust reverser. To get this clearance, extend the main and nose landing gear shock struts with dry air or nitrogen. (AMM 08-11-00/201).
When the bootstrap equipment is installed on the airplane, you must use all four persons to remove the engine.
(a) Put the cradle assembly/transportation base in front of the engine and move it rearward until the centerline of the forward cradle attach point is aligned horizontally with the centerline of the engine.
