Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel a) SHUTOFF VALVE ENG
(e)
Remove the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
1) Set the BAT switch on the Electrical Meters Battery and Galley Power Module (P5-13) to the OFF position and install a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(f)
Put a container, approved for fuel, below the drain plug for the fuel filter.
(g)
Remove the drain plug for the fuel filter and let the fuel drain.
NOTE: You can loosen the connection for the fuel supply line
____ at the service disconnect panel to help the fuel drain.
You can use a funnel, made from foil or equivalent material, below the fuel supply line connection and a hose that goes to the container to prevent fuel leakage on the fan case.

Remove the O-ring from the drain plug.
1) Discard the O-ring.
(i)
Disconnect the inlet pressure line of the fuel filter differential pressure switch from the inlet pressure port of the fuel filter, and drain the fuel into a container.
(j)
Remove the lube flow screen assembly from the fuel pump, and drain fuel into a container.
(k)
Remove and discard the preformed packings from the screen assembly.
(l)
Disconnect the fuel supply line at the fuel pump inlet. 1) Remove the bolts and washers that attach the fuel supply line to the fuel pump. 2) Remove the gasket from the inlet flange for the fuel pump. a) Keep the gasket for the installation.
3) Install caps on the inlet port for the fuel pump and fuel supply line.
(m)
Remove and discard the fuel filter cartridge
(AMM 73-11-02/401).
(n)
Lightly lubricate the new packings with lubricant
(aerolubriplate).
(o)
Install the new packings in the packing grooves on the lube flow screen assembly.
(p)
Install the lube flow screen assembly.
1) Tighten the lube flow screen assembly to 90-110
pound-inches (10.2-12.4 Newton meters). 2) Safety with a lockwire.
(q)
Tighten the connection for the fuel supply line at the service disconnect panel, if you loosened it during the fuel drain procedure.
(r)
Put the applicable start lever in the IDLE position.

Do the preservation procedure for the engine fuel system.
(a)
Remove the cap and fitting from the lower port on the fuel pump boost discharge pressure (PBP) elbow.
(b)
Connect the line from the oil pressurizing cart to the PBP port. 1) Tighten the connector to 88-97 pound-inches (10-11 Newton
meters).

CAUTION: DO NOT USE SILICONE BASE OILS IN THE FUEL SYSTEM.

SILICONE BASE OILS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FUEL SYSTEM.
(c) Fill the fuel pump with clean, filtered (10 micron) oil
(CP2850) from the cart until fuel free oil flows out of the
fuel filter inlet pressure port and filter housing.
(d) Connect the fuel inlet pressure line of the fuel filter
differential pressure switch to the inlet pressure port of the
fuel filter.
(e) Install the fuel filter cartridge, cover, and drain plug
(AMM 73-11-02/401).
(f) Remove the discharge pressure (PHP) plug of the fuel pump from
the port on the fuel pump.
(g) Fill the fuel pump PBP port with clean, filtered oil (CP2850)
