TEST NO. 10 - REPLACEMENT ENGINE TEST (UNTESTED)

 (q)  
Do the engine shutdown (normal) operation (AMM 71-00-00/201). 1) Make sure that the FLIGHT RECORDER light comes on. 2) Open these circuit breakers on the panel, P18.

 a) FLIGHT RECORDER AC
 b) FLIGHT RECORDER DC


 (r)  
If the FLIGHT RECORDER light does not operate correctly, do a check of the flight recorder system (AMM 31-24-00/501).

 (s)  
Connect the CSD (AMM 24-11-11/501 [CSD disconnect test]).

 12. Test No. 11 - T2/CIT Sensor Test________________________________
 A. General
 (1)  
This test gives the data to do troubleshooting of the T2 or CIT sensor for incorrect operation.

 (2)  
For the test, you use the ambient air temperature, operate the engine at low idle, and read the pressure differentials across the T2 and CIT sensors.

 (3)  
The condition of the sensors is found when you compare the measured pressure differentials to the usual pressure differentials for the air temperature.

 (1)  
FIT/CIT Sensor Tester - 856A1357G03,
 CFM International, P.O. Box 15514,
 Cincinnati, OH 45215


 (2)  
Alcohol Thermometer - MIL-T-11399, Type ML-5
 (or mercury thermometer, if not taken aboard
 airplane), -40° to 120°F (-40° to 49°C),
 |1/2°F (|1/4°C) accuracy.

Procedure

 (1)  
Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (2)  
Install the FIT/CIT Sensor Tester as follows:

 (a)  
Find a good location on the engine (fan frame or TGB) for the tester mounting plate.

 (b)  
Secure the gage assembly to the engine with cable tie wraps in the four holes of the corners of the frame.

TEST NO. 11 - T2/CIT SENSOR TEST

 (c)  Install the PB T-fitting as follows: 1) Find the PB port on the MEC. 2) Disconnect the first coupling where the metal tube connects
 with the flexible hose. 3) Install the PB T-fitting in the PB line. a) Tighten the coupling nuts to 135-150 pound-inches (15-17 N.m).
 4)  Install the line from the PB T-fitting to the port identified PB on the gage assembly. a) Tighten the coupling nuts to 135-150 pound-inches
