(10) Examine the starter oil level.
(a) For an engine that experienced a hung start, look for carbon deposits that result from boiling and vaporizing oil.

(a) If found low/dark, service/replenish the starter as necessary.

Examine the EGT harness assembly for cracks.

Examine the engine pneumatic components.
(a)
Examine the anti-ice duct of the inlet cowl.
1) Look for insulation that has gone away.
2) Look for loose or broken calmps.
(b)
Examine the pneumatic ducts. 1) Make sure there is a clearance between the clamps on the
fifth and ninth-stage ducts and the VSV fuel manifold. 2) Look for loose or broken clamps. 3) Look for loose bolts. 4) Look for cracks or worn areas on the ducts.
(c)
Make sure there is a clearance between the starter air duct and the T2 sensor storage bracket.

(14) Examine the engine fuel system.
(a)
Examine these components for fuel leakage and the correct installation. 1) The main engine control (MEC). 2) The fuel pump. 3) The servo fuel heater. 4) The VBV fuel gear motor. 5) The VSV actuators. 6) The CIT sensor. 7) The T2 sensor. 8) The fuel flow transmitter. 9) The fuel filter. 10) The fuel filter .P switch. 11) The HPT clearance control valve.
(b)
Examine the fuel lines for loose or broken clamps and leakage.

(15) Examine the drain lines of the engine and strut for loose or broken clamps, leaks, and loose connections.
