4) OIL PRESS -Positive increase
5) FF (Fuel Flow) 400-1100 PPH or 181-500 KGPH during the start procedure.
6) Engine LOW OIL PRESSURE Warning Light -Goes out at or before 15.25 psi with
increasing pressure
7) CSD
LOW OIL PRESSURE
Warning Light -Goes out
8) GEN DRIVE
OIL TEMP -Small temperature increase
9) HYD PUMPS
LOW PRESSURE
Warning Light -Goes out
(m)
Make sure the applicable PMC INOP light, on the pilots' aft overhead panel (P5), does not come on during the start.
(n)
Make sure the starter cutout is at or before 47% N2 rpm. 1) Make sure the START VALVE OPEN light on the pilots' center
instrument panel (P2) goes off. 2) Make sure the ENGINE START switch moves from GRD to OFF.
(o)
If N2 rpm is more than 47% and the starter cutout did not occurred, do these steps: 1) Manually turn the ENGINE START switch to OFF. 2) Make sure the START VALVE OPEN light goes off.
(p)
Let the engine accelerate to idle.
NOTE: The engine must not to take longer than 120 seconds to
____ accelerate to idle rpm from the time the start lever is moved forward (fuel on).
Acceleration time will be longer if the duct pressure is low. If a hung start occurs, stop the engine start. Find and repair the cause for no acceleration.
(q) Let the engine operation become stable at low idle rpm.

(r) Make a check for these approximate indications:
NOTE: The N2 guideline below is for a normal engine start
____ and is not a trim limit. Refer to AMM 71-00-01/201 for the N2 limits.
If you do an engine start with battery power only and with a ground air cart, the engine will start at high idle and go to low idle when the generator is operated.
1) N1 - approximately 21.5%
2) N2 - approximately 60%
3) FF (Fuel Flow) -550-950 PPH or 250-430 KGPH
4) EGT -450-650°C
NOTE:____All engines have an EGT that is different. The EGT will increase as an engine collects time. The condition and bleed configuration of each engine can cause EGT differences between engines. If N1, N2, and fuel flow are satisfactory at minimum idle, you can have EGT differences as much as 60°C or larger.
5) OIL TEMP -160°C Maximum
NOTE: Transient temperatures permitted to 165°C maximum
____
for 15 minutes maximum.
6) OIL
PRESS -13 to 35 psi
7) OIL FILTER BYPASS
Warning Light -Goes out
8) VIB
(Vibration) -Less than 4.0 units
9) HYD SYS PRESS
A and B -Stable between 2925-3100 psi
WARNING: IF ENGINE NO. 2 IS OPERATING ABOVE LOW IDLE, GROUND
_______ PERSONNEL MUST NOT ATTEMPT TO DISCONNECT GROUND AIR CART HOSE FROM AIRPLANE. GROUND AIR CART HOSE RECEPTACLE IS LOCATED WITHIN THE ENGINE NO. 2 INLET HAZARD ZONE (FIG. 201).
