 (1)  You must do one of the procedures that follow:
 (a)  The power plant preservation procedure for up to 30 days (not serviceable power plant).
 NOTE: This would allow preservation for up to 30 days maximum
____ from time of last engine operation or from accomplishment of engine dry-out procedure, as applicable.
 (b)  The power plant preservation procedure for 30 to 365 days (not serviceable power plant) if the preservation renewal procedure is to be done.

 A. General
 (1)  
The procedures in AMM 71-00-03/201 are for engines that are installed on-wing. Procedures for engines that are removed from the airplane are in the CFMI Engine Shop Manual, Section 72-00-00, Page 1201.

 B.

Engine Inlet and Exhaust Covers - C10001-1 and
 C10001-2 are replaced by commercial equipment
 as follows:

 NOTE: You can ignore the first three steps that follow if they

 these conditions, consider engine preserved for 30 days from time
 of last operation.

 WARNING:_______USE AMM 71-00-00/201 TO OPERATE THE POWER PLANT. IF YOU DO NOT USE THIS PROCEDURE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT OR INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (1)  
Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to start the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).

Let the engine become stable at low idle for 15 to 20 minutes.

Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to do the engine
 shutdown (AMM 71-00-00/201).
