_______ FORWARD DYNAMOMETER, AND 1000 POUNDS (450 KG) TO THE AFT DYNAMOMETER. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (a)  Apply a preload to the hoists until the two forward dynamometers read 3750 |100 lbs (1700 |45 kg), and the aft dynamometer reads 750 |100 lbs (340 |45 kg).

Disconnect the engine mounts as follows:

 (a)  
To keep the thrust links attached with the strut, disconnect the engine thrust links as follows (Fig. 417): 1) Remove the bolt (1), two washers (2 and 3) and nut (4) at

 the forward end of each thrust link. 2) Put the fasteners in a plastic bag and temporarily attach to each thrust link fitting.

 (b)  
To keep the thrust links attached with the engine, disconnect the engine thrust links as follows (Fig. 417):


 NOTE: To replace the engine more quickly, keep the thrust
____ links attached to the strut. Use these steps only when the thrust links must be removed from the strut or when it is operator policy. If you will remove an engine with the thrust links attached, make sure the thrust links are installed on the replacement engine.
 1) Remove the five bolts (5) and washers (6) that attach the thrust fitting to the bottom surface of the strut. 2) Put the fasteners in a plastic bag and temporarily attach them to the thrust fitting.
 (c)  
ENGINES WITHOUT THE VIBRATION ISOLATORS FOR THE FORWARD MOUNT/THRUST REVERSER HINGES; Remove the bolts (1), washers (2), and nut retainers (3 and 6) from the forward cone bolt nuts (Fig. 418).

 (d)  
ENGINES WITH THE VIBRATION ISOLATORS FOR THE FORWARD MOUNT/THRUST REVERSER HINGES; Do these steps to release the forward cone bolts (Fig. 418): 1) Remove the bolts (12), washers (9), and nuts (8) that


 attach the forward cone bolt nut retainers (10) to the retainers (11). 2) Remove the nut retainers (10) from the cone bolt nuts (13).
