(1)
Do the Replacement Engine Test
(a)
Open the thrust reverser, if it is not open (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(b)
Do the pneumatic leak test (Test No. 1), with these steps:
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE COWL TAI FOR MORE THAN 30 SECONDS.
_______ DAMAGE TO THE COWL CAN OCCUR.
1) On the pilots' forward overhead panel, P5, put the applicable ENG ANTI-ICE switch in the ON position for 25 to 30 seconds.

TEST NO. 9 - REPLACEMENT ENGINE TEST (PRETESTED)

2) Examine the TAI duct for a leak at the couplings.
NOTE: You cannot have a jet of air at the couplings.
____ You can have a small leakage around the coupling.
3) Put the ENG ANTI-ICE switch in the OFF position.
(c)
Close the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(d)
Do the MEC trim check (Test No. 6).
NOTE: It is not necessary to do the static rig check (in
____ test No. 6), if the engine completed this check before. But you must always do the engine run checks of the MEC (in test No. 6).
It is not necessary to do the Test No. 8 - accel/decel check in Test No. 6.
(e)
After the initial trim check, examine the magnetic chip detectors in the lube unit for contamination (AMM 79-00-00/601).
(f)
See if there is a fault display on the AVM signal conditioner (found on the E1-2 electronic shelf in the main E/E rack). 1) Correct the faults, if it is necessary (AMM 71-00-54/101).
(g)
Do the operational test for the TAI system on the inlet cowl (AMM 30-21-00/501).
CAUTION: IF THE SYSTEM TEST OF THE BLEED AIR CONTROL IS
_______ UNSATISFACTORY, EXAMINE THE LINES BETWEEN THE STRUT AND THE BLEED AIR REGULATOR. IF THE LINES ARE NOT CORRECT, THE SYSTEM WILL HAVE A LOWER PRESSURE IN FLIGHT.
(h)
Do the system test of the bleed air control (test the bleed air control system with the engine running) (AMM 36-11-05/501).
(i)
Do the CSD disconnect test (AMM 24-11-11/501).
(j)
Before the engine shutdown, do the flight recorder check.
CAUTION:_______DO THE FLIGHT RECORDER TEST IN A MINIMUM TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT THE LOSS OF THE DATA IN THE RECORDS.
1) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit
breakers on the circuit breaker panel, P18.
a) FLIGHT RECORDER AC
b) FLIGHT RECORDER DC
2) Make sure that the flight recorder system operates.
a) Make sure that the FLIGHT RECORDER light on the
overhead panel, P5, goes out.
(k) Do the engine shutdown (normal) operation (AMM 71-00-00/201). 1) Make sure that the FLIGHT RECORDER light comes on.
