Remove the inboard and outboard forward cradle mounts from the cradle.

(25) Disconnect the aft bootstrap equipment from the cradle assembly as follows (Fig. 414):
(a)
Disconnect the cable from the dynamometer.
(b)
Disconnect the cable from the cradle pulleys and disconnect the cable from the lever hoist.
(c)
Remove the pulleys from the cradle.

(26) Remove the transportation base/cradle assembly from the work area.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE TRANSPORTATION BASE/CRADLE
_______ ASSEMBLY. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF THE TRANSPORTATION BASE/CRADLE ASSEMBLY HITS THE ENGINE OR THRUST REVERSER.
(a) To remove the transportation base/cradle assembly, move it forward until the aft end is free of the engine.

(27) Remove the forward bootstrap equipment as follows (Fig. 411):
NOTE: To make the installation easier, use two persons to
____ remove the bootstrap equipment and use two persons to do the core area connnections.
(a) Remove the two lever hoists from the inboard and outboard forward locations.

Install the Power Plant
(b) Remove the two dynamometers from the inboard and outboard
forward locations.
(c) To remove the inboard arm, remove the top ball lock pin.
NOTE: These steps remove the inboard arm first. If it is____
necessary, you can remove the outboard arm first.
(d) To remove the outboard arm, remove the top ball lock pin.
(e) Remove the two bottom ball lock pins that attach the center arm
to the attach fittings and remove the center arm.
(f) Make sure you keep all the ball lock pins with the bootstrap
equipment.
(g) If you will install the fan cowl panels with the manual method,
do these steps:
NOTE: If you will use the sling method to install the fan____
cowl panels, you do not need to remove the engine strut
attach fittings at this time.
1) Remove the two attach fittings from the strut.
a) Keep the two ball lock pins with the bootstrap
equipment.
2) Install the forward fairing (AMM 54-32-01/401).

Remove the aft bootstrap equipment as follows (Fig. 412):
(a)
Remove the aft dynamometer and lever hoist.
(b)
Remove the six bolts and washers (three on each side) that connect the inboard and outboard arms to the strut.
(c)
Attach the three bolts (1) to the attach points on each side of the strut.

(29) If the main and nose landing gear shock struts were extended for clearance between the tranportation base and the thrust reverser, retract the struts to their usual service band limits (AMM 08-11-00/201).
