Engine Core Disconnects on the Right Side
S 034-222-C00
(2) Prepare to disconnect the PRSOV from the right side as follows (Fig. 404):
NOTE:____Do not remove the PRSOV at this time. It is easier to
remove the PRSOV after the engine is lowered on to the
transportation stand.
WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE DUCT COUPLINGS IF THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
_______
HAS PRESSURE. SEVERE INJURY TO PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT
DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
(a)
If not already done, release the pressure from the pneumatic
system (AMM 36-05-00/201).
(b)
Disconnect the 11/16-inch fitting on the pressure sense hose at the precooler control valve.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL CAPS ON THE PRESSURE SENSE HOSE
_______ AND PORT. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE CAPS, CONTAMINATION CAN OCCUR.
1) Install caps on the sense hose and the precooler control valve port.
(c) Disconnect the pneumatic overtemperature sense hose from the
right side of the PRSOV as follows:
NOTE: You do not have to remove the floating clamps on the
____ pneumatic overtemperature sense hose to remove the engine.
1) ENGINES WITH THE WELDED SADDLE CLAMP; Remove the clamps (10), bolts (7), washers (8) and nuts (9) that attach the overtemperature sense hose and the fire-extinquishing hose to the location adjacent to the thrust reverser bumper stop.
2) ENGINES WITH THE WELDED 'P-CLAMP'; Remove the clamp (10), bolt (7), washer (8) and nut (9) that attach the overtemperature sense hose and the fire-extinquishing hose to the location adjacent to the thrust reverser bumper stop.
3) Remove the clamp (1), washer (2) and nut (3) that attach the sense hose to the 5th-stage duct.
