 1) Do a check of the starter for correct servicing.


 a)  If it is necessary, do the starter servicing (AMM 12-13-41/301).

 (b)  
Bleed the engine fuel system. 1) Do the wet motor of the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).


 a)  While you motor the engine at a minimum of 15% N2, do these steps:
 1.  
Make sure that the CSD LOW OIL PRESSURE warning

_ light on the pilots' forward overhead panel, P5, goes out.

 2.  
If the CSD LOW OIL PRESSURE warning light does not

_ go out, do a check of the oil level.

 3.  
Do the servicing, if it is necessary


_ (AMM 12-13-21/301).
 (c) Do the pneumatic leak test (Test No. 1), with these steps:
 CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE COWL TAI FOR MORE THAN 30 SECONDS.
_______
 DAMAGE TO THE COWL CAN OCCUR.

 1)  On the pilots' forward overhead panel, P5, put the applicable ENG ANTI-ICE switch in the ON position (for 25 to 30 seconds).
 2)  Examine the TAI duct for a leak at the couplings.
 NOTE: You cannot have a jet of air at the couplings.
____ You can have a small leakage around the coupling.
 3) Put the ENG ANTI-ICE switch in the OFF position.
 (d)  Do the MEC trim check (Test No. 6).
 NOTE: It is not necessary to do the static rig check (in
____ test No. 6), if the engine completed this check before. But you must always do the engine checks of the MEC (in test No. 6).
 (e)  Also, it is necessary to do the power assurance check (Test No. 5).

TEST NO. 10 - REPLACEMENT ENGINE TEST (UNTESTED)

 (f)  
After the initial trim check, open the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (g)  
Do the checks or replacements that follow: 1) Replace the fuel filter cartridge (AMM 73-11-02/401). 2) Replace the scavenge oil filter element (AMM 79-21-04/401). 3) Replace the filter element for the oil supply filter

 (AMM 79-21-03/401). 4) Examine the magnetic chip detectors in the lube unit for contamination (AMM 79-00-00/601). 5) Examine the magnetic chip detector in the CSD for contamination (AMM 24-11-11/601). 6) Make sure that the CSD line oil (scavenge) filter pop-out indicator has not popped out. 7) Make sure that the CSD integral oil (charge) filter pop-out indicator has not popped out.

 (h)  
Examine the engine oil tank for the correct servicing.

 1)  If it is necessary, do the tank servicing
 (AMM 12-13-11/301).


 (i)  
Examine the CSD for the correct servicing. 1) Do the servicing, if it is necessary (AMM 12-13-21/301).

 (j)  
Close the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (k)  
See if there is a fault display on the AVM signal conditioner (found on the E1-2 electronic shelf in the main E/E rack). 1) Correct the faults, if it is necessary (Ref 71-00-54/101).

 (l)  
Do the operational test for the TAI system on the inlet cowl (AMM 30-21-00/501).

 (m)  
Do the vibration survey check (Test No. 7).


 CAUTION: IF THE SYSTEM TEST OF THE BLEED AIR CONTROL IS
_______ UNSATISFACTORY, EXAMINE THE LINES BETWEEN THE STRUT AND THE BLEED AIR REGULATOR. IF THE LINES ARE NOT CORRECT, THE SYSTEM WILL HAVE A LOWER PRESSURE IN FLIGHT.
 (n)  
Do the system test of the bleed air control (with the engine running) (AMM 36-11-05/501).

 (o)  
Do the CSD disconnect test (AMM 24-11-11/501).

 (p)  
Before the engine shutdown, do the flight recorder check.


 CAUTION:_______DO THE FLIGHT RECORDER TEST IN A MINIMUM TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT THE LOSS OF THE DATA IN THE RECORDS.
 1)  Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit
 breakers on the circuit breaker panel, P18.
 a) FLIGHT RECORDER AC
 b) FLIGHT RECORDER DC

 2) Make sure that the flight recorder system operates.
 a) Make sure that the FLIGHT RECORDER light on the
 overhead panel, P5, goes out.
