CAUTION:_______ YOU MUST IDENTIFY THE INITIAL POSITIONS OF THE MAGNETIC CHIP
DETECTORS. IF YOU DO NOT IDENTIFY THE INITIAL POSITIONS OF THE
MAGNETIC CHIP DETECTORS BEFORE YOU REMOVE THEM, INCORRECT
ANALYSIS CAN OCCUR.

Remove the magnetic chip detectors from the lubrication unit.

(4)
Examine the magnetic chip detectors (AMM 79-21-05/201).
(a) Identify the position of each magnetic chip detector for a correct analysis of all engine distress.

(5) Install the relubrication manifold as follows:
(a)
Remove the knurled protectors from the pushers.
(b)
Inspect the O-rings on the pushers. 1) Replace the O-rings if it is necessary.
(c)
Remove the knurled bolts from the relubrication manifold.
(d)
Remove the relubrication manifold from the plate.
(e)
Remove the pushers from the plate.
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY FORCE TO THE PUSHER TO INSTALL IT INTO THE
_______ LUBRICATION UNIT. IF YOU APPLY FORCE TO THE PUSHER, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(f) Carefully install one of the pushers, with locking pins (keys), into the aft sump bore of the lubrication unit housing. 1) Align the pusher keys with the lubrication unit sleeve
keyways. 2) Push until the pusher is fully in the bore. 3) Turn the pusher one quarter of a turn clockwise to engage
the key in the keyways.

Pull the pusher down, while you lightly turn it from side to side to make sure the pusher has "snapped" down into its locked position.
(h)
Position the plate (from aft side) into the groove of the pusher and move it forward to engage the pusher.
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY FORCE TO THE PUSHER TO INSTALL IT INTO THE
_______ LUBRICATION UNIT. IF YOU APPLY FORCE TO THE PUSHER, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(i)
Carefully install the pusher, without the locking pins (keys), into the forward sump bore (center bore) of the lubrication unit housing.
(j)
Push until the pusher is fully in the bore.
(k)
Hold the pusher tightly with one hand.
(l)
Push the plate forward with your other hand until it moves into the pusher groove.
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY FORCE TO THE PUSHER TO INSTALL IT INTO THE
_______ LUBRICATION UNIT. IF YOU APPLY FORCE TO THE PUSHER, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(m) Carefully install the last pusher, with locking pins (keys), into the TGB/AGB bore of the lubrication unit housing. 1) Align the pusher keys with the lubrication unit sleeve
keyways. 2) Push until the pusher is fully in the bore. 3) Turn the pusher one quarter of a turn clockwise to engage
the key in the keyways.
(n)
Pull the pusher down, while you lightly turn it from side to side to make sure the pusher has "snapped" down into its locked position.
(o)
Push the plate forward into the groove of the last pusher. 1) Make sure the plate fully engages all three pushers.
(p)
Install the relubrication manifold on the three pushers with the air supply connector pointed aft.
