Install the forward bootstrap equipment as follows (Fig. 411):
(a)
If not already installed, use four ball lock pins to install the two attach fittings to the forward bootstrap attach points on the strut.
(b)
Use two ball lock pins to attach the center arm to the two attach fittings.
(c)
Attach the inboard arm to the center arm at the top ball lock pin location.
(d)
Attach the outboard arm to the center arm at the top ball lock pin location.
(e)
Make sure the ball lock pins and inboard, outboard, and center arms are correctly installed.
(f)
Attach a dynamometer and a lever hoist to each arm.

Install the aft bootstrap equipment (Fig. 412).
(a)
Remove the three bolts (1) from the left and right aft strut bulkhead to get access to the aft bootstrap attach points. 1) Keep the bolts for the installation procedure.
(b)
Use the attached bolts and washers to install the left and right arms to the aft bootstrap attach points.
(c)
AIRPLANES POST SB 54-1032; If a doubler is installed at the forward attach point of the outboard aft bootstrap, do these steps to install shims at the two aft attach points: 1) Make the shims (Fig. 412, Sheet 3). 2) Drill a 0.38 inch hole in the shim to match the holes in
