 CAUTION:_______  THE TRIM TABLES IN THIS SECTION ARE ONLY APPLICABLE TO CFM56-3-B1 ENGINES WITH MEC P/N 9368M57P10/P11/P12/P13/P15/P16/P17/P18/P19/P20/P21 AND PMC P/N 7090M98G05 INCORPORATING CFMI SB 73-017 OR PMC P/N 7090M98G06 OR 7139M84G01.
 (1)  Make sure you have the correct trim tables for the engine model.
 NOTE: Engines with P/N 7090M98G05 PMC that incorporate
____ CFMI SB 73-017 may be identified by service bulletin 73-017 marked on the PMC nameplate on the right side of the serial number line. In addition, service bulletin 73-017 will be marked on the PMC casing directly below the adjustment well cover under NLR.

 CAUTION:  DO NOT USE THE AIRPLANE TOTAL TEMPERATURE INDICATION TO GET THE
_______ AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE. AN INCORRECT TEMPERATURE CAN GIVE YOU AN INCORRECT TARGET SELECTION.
 DO NOT USE A MERCURY THERMOMETER IN THE AIRPLANE. IF THE THERMOMETER BREAKS, THE MERCURY CAN TOUCH AIRPLANE COMPONENTS AND CAUSE DAMAGE.
 (2)  Find the ambient temperature, OAT, in the shade of the airplane.

 CAUTION:  MAKE SURE TO GET THE LOCAL BAROMETRIC PRESSURE (NOT CORRECTED
_______ TO SEA LEVEL) FROM THE CONTROL TOWER. AN INCORRECT PRESSURE CAN GIVE YOU AN INCORRECT TARGET SELECTION.
 (3)  Find the barometric pressure (not corrected to sea level).
 (a)  
If the local barometric pressure (LBP) is not available, use the altimeter setting to determine the LBP (Fig. 201A). 1) Find the point where the altimeter setting goes across the

 applicable field elevation to get the LBP.

 (b)  
The equation to find LBP using Altimeter Setting in "HG and
 Standard Local Barometeric Pressure (SLBP) is:

 

 LBP = (Altimeter Setting "HG - 29.92) + SLBP
 NOTE: You can do a check of the LBP by dialing the altimeter
____ to 0 feet altitude and reading LBP from the barometric pressure setting window (if altimeter is available).

 (4)  Find the engine speed target for the test (Fig. 202).
 (a)  
Find the OAT on the table.

 (b)  
Read across the table to find the target for that OAT and barometric pressure.


 NOTE: If ambient temperature or barometric pressure falls
____ between values given in trim table, correct data can be obtained by interpolation.
