Attach the manifold to the plate with the knurled bolts (4 locations). 1) Tighten the bolts with your hand.
(r)
Make sure the manifold is fully against the plate.
(s)
Fill the oil contianer of the relubrication tool set with one of these solutions: 1) 1.7 pints (800 ml) of preservative oil (CP2259), or 2) An oil solution that contains 0.85 pints (400 ml) of
anti-corrosion oil additive (CP2309) and 0.85 pints (400 ml) of engine oil
(t)
Connect the air pressure supply line to the nipple of the oil container.
(u)
Connect the oil supply line to the nipple of the oil container.
(v)
Make sure the oil supply valve is closed.
G. Do the Power Plant Dry-Out Procedure (Fig. 203).

Blow dry, filtered, compressed air through hoses to remove all
unwanted material.

Install one hose on the outlet of the hot air source and the air
filter inlet.
(a)
Attach each end of the hose with clamps.

Install the other hose on the air filter outlet and the exit of the
engine exhaust plug.

Attach each end of the hose with clamps.

(5) Install mats in the inlet on the full lower half of the inlet cowl.

WARNING: STAY CLEAR OF THE RELUBRICATION MANIFOLD INSTALLED ON THE

LUBRICATION UNIT BY A MINIMUM OF 20 FEET (6 METERS). THE
RELUBRICATION MANIFOLD BLOWS HOT AIR AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO
PERSONS.

Turn on the hot air source and let the pressure increase slowly to
the operation level.
(a)
The air temperature must be 300-325°F (150-165°C).

WARNING: DO NOT MANUALLY TURN THE FAN ROTOR WITHOUT GOOD GLOVES.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON A SAFE SURFACE WHILE YOU TURN THE FAN.
BE VERY CAREFUL WHILE YOU TURN THE FAN TO PREVENT INJURY.

Do the dry-out cycle for a minimum of 20 minutes.
(a)
During this procedure, manually turn the fan rotor slowly, with gloves on your hands, one full turn in the usual direction of operation (counterclockwise viewed from front).
(b)
Do this step one time each five minutes of the procedure.
(c)
Manually turn the N2 rotor slowly (AMM 72-00-00/201) one full turn one time each five minutes during the dry-out cycle if it is possible.

After you dry the engine forward and aft sumps, and each gearbox
with hot air for 20 minutes, remove the hot air source.
