E. Procedure
S 424-049
(1)
Install the lever assembly:
(a)
Make sure the bearings are installed in the lever assembly housing.
(b)
Apply a layer of grease on the bearings and the shank of the bolt.
(c)
Align the lever assembly with the support fittings.
(d)
Install the bolt, the washer and the nut.
1) Tighten the nut.
(e)
Make sure the lever assembly moves freely in the support assembly.

(2)
Install the control rod:
(a)
Align the control rod ends with the attachment fittings.
(b)
Install the bolts, washers, and nuts at attachment fittings. 1) Tighten the nuts.

(3)
Install the adjustment control rod:
(a)
Adjust the control rod to 9.60 inches.
(b)
Apply a layer of grease on the shank of the bolts.
(c)
Align the control rod with the attachment fittings.
(d)
Install the bolts, the washers, and the nuts. 1) Tighten the nuts.

Remove the rig pins E-1 and E-2.

Put the Airplane to its Usual Condition
