Disconnect the cables from the forward quadrant (8).
(a)
Do not let the cables become loose after you disconnect them.
(b)
If it is necessary, tag the cables to make the installation easier.

Remove the elevator forward quadrant:
(a)
Disconnect the pushrod (16) from the crank (9).
(b)
Hold the forward quadrant (8).
(c)
Remove the capscrews (12) that connect the lower bearing retainer (13) to the jackshaft (7).
(d)
Remove the lower bearing retainer (13) and the lower bearing (11).
(e)
Remove the bolts (15) that connect the lower bearing housing (10) to the lower support beam (14).
(f)
Remove the lower bearing housing (10).
(g)
Remove the bolt retainers (20) and the bolts (6).
(h)
Move and lift the forward quadrant until it is clear of the structure.
(i)
Remove the capscrews (5) that connect the upper bearing retainer (4) to the jackshaft (7).
(j)
Remove the upper bearing retainer (4), the upper bearing (18), and the upper bearing housing (19).
(k)
If you removed the left forward quadrant, remove the tension regulator holding tool.
