Disassemble the transmitter assembly:

 (a)  
Remove the crank from the transmitter shaft. 1) Remove the shaft clamping screw from the crank. 2) Remove the crank.

 (b)  
Remove the transmitter from the bracket. 1) Loosen the transmitter clamping screws. 2) Remove the inner clamping screw. 3) Remove the transmitter.

 D. Install the Elevator Position Transmitter

 (1)  
Assemble the transmitter assembly:

 (a)  
Put the transmitter into the bracket until the inner clamping screw can engage the circumferential groove on the transmitter. 1) Install the transmitter clamping screws.

 a) Do not tighten the screw.

 (b)  
Turn the transmitter until the E|Z (electrical zero) index mark on the transmitter housing is aligned with the centerline of the bracket rig pin holes.

 (c)  
Lightly tighten the transmitter clamping screws.

 (d)  
Put the transmitter shaft into the crank until the shaft clamping screw can engage the groove around the shaft.

 (e)  
Install the shaft clamping screw, washer, and nut. 1) Do not tighten the nut.

 (f)  
Align the index mark on the end of the shaft with the centerline of the rig pin slot in the crank.

 (g)  
Tighten the shaft clamping screw to 5-10 pound-inches.

 (2)  
Install the transmitter assembly:

 (a)  
Set the transmitter, the bracket, and the crank assembly on the airplane. 1) Install two screws, washers, and nuts to attach the bracket

 to the airplane structure.
 a) Tighten the nuts to 20-30 pound-inches.


 (b)  
Install the screw, washer, and nut to attach the control rod to the crank. 1) Tighten the nut to 5-10 pound-inches.

Install the bonding jumper.

Install the electrical connector.

Adjust the Elevator Position Transmitter

 (1)  
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (2)  
Do this task: "Supply Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6, Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6J25, RUD/ELEV IND
